Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-01-29

We built ImgMeta.app because we wanted a simple, honest way to handle EXIF data. This page explains what we do and don't do with your information—no fine print tricks.

Your photos stay on your device

Everything that matters happens in your browser. When you view, edit, or remove EXIF data, we don't upload your images to our servers. We don't store them. We don't see them. That's by design.

So the only "data" we have from your actual photos is what you choose to do on your side. We think that's how it should be.

Ads and how they work

We may show ads on the site (e.g. through Google) to keep the tool free. Those ads can use cookies or similar tech to show relevant content and measure performance. The ad providers have their own privacy policies—we'll link to them where relevant.

If you're in a region that requires consent first, we won't use non-essential cookies or personalised ads until you say okay.

How we use usage data

We may use tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to see how people use the site—which pages get visited, whether key buttons get clicked. That helps us improve the product. This data is typically aggregated and not tied to you personally.

Cookies and similar tech

We use cookies and similar technologies where needed: to remember your choices (e.g. language, cookie preferences), to run the site, and—if you agree—for ads and analytics. You can change your mind later via the cookie notice or your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete data about you, or to object to certain processing. If you think we hold something that relates to you, get in touch and we'll do our best to help.

Contact

Questions about privacy or this policy? Reach us at the contact details on the site (e.g. About or footer). We'll respond as soon as we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. We'll note the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a big change, we'll try to make it visible on the site. Continued use after updates means you're okay with the new version.
